Dock Pile Driving in Lake Anna, Virginia

A strong dock starts with a solid foundation. We drive piles for new docks and reinforce existing ones, using heavy-duty marine-grade timber and our own pile-driving equipment so your structure stands up to time, water and weather.

How we drive piles

  • Marine-grade piles. 6″×6″ #2 Critical Structural timber, pressure treated to UC4B standards (CCA .60), in lengths up to 24 ft.
  • Driven to code. Every pile meets county code requirements and is driven to proper depth and bearing in Lake Anna’s hard sand and clay bottoms.
  • Placed to the plan. Piles are positioned to the engineered layout for your dock design.
  • Above the waterline. Piles extend at least 2.5 ft above normal lake level.
  • Banded and braced. Outer banding and beams are heavy-duty UC4B treated lumber for long-term strength.

Why pile driving matters

Piles are the part of the dock you never see, and the part that matters most. These deep-set supports anchor the structure into the lake bed and keep it stable as water levels and weather change. Without properly installed piles, docks lean, sink or fail.

Pile driving is the first step in building a dock you can rely on for years, whether it’s for relaxing, boating or entertaining.
